The Springfield Express Employment Professionals office consists of husband and wife co-owners/operators, Jim and Carole Britton. They are life-long residents of Springfield and have been in the staffing business since 1980. The Brittons are energetically engaged in supporting the well-being of the Springfield community with their time, talents, leadership, and financial involvement in many worthy local endeavors.

The Britton’s staffing businesses, with franchises in Springfield and Bloomington, Illinois, have received international acclaim. Express Services, Inc., one of the largest staffing franchisors in the world with over 550 locations in four countries, has recognized the Britton’s office as one of the premier offices in the franchise system. The Springfield franchise has received multiple national first place awards for annual gross sales, while Jim and Carole’s regional organization in Illinois and Indiana has grown from $16.5 million in sales in 1994 to $125 million in 2010.

Carole’s community involvement includes the United Way board as well as memberships in Crimestoppers, Women in Management, The Small Business Council of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), National Association of Temporary Services, and National Association of Personnel Services. Carole is a past Chamber Ambassador, past United Way Campaign Co-Chair for Small Business, and has served on the Calvary Academy school board. Carole has also been a Regional Representative of Express, helping to develop Express Employment Professionals franchises throughout Illinois and Indiana. Prior to the staffing business, Carole attended Lincoln Land Community College and Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing and was co-owner of Angelo’s Pizza on Stevenson Drive.

Jim has recently agreed to serve on the Strategic Leadership Council of the Quantum Growth Initiative (“Bridges”). In addition to being co-owner/operator of the Springfield and Bloomington franchises, he serves as Regional Developer for Express, sharing his extensive business expertise in helping other small business owners succeed throughout Illinois and Indiana.

Both Jim and Carole are active in ministry at Calvary Temple Christian Center. They have three grown children, J.T., Josh, and Zac, and nine grandchildren. All reside in the Springfield area.
